Jewelry exhibition “Dialogue of Symbols”
2026
On July 6, during the celebration of Statehood Day, the opening of the jewelry exhibition “Dialogue of Symbols” by artist Marija Vaitiekienė will take place at 1:00 PM in the Barbara Hall of Raudondvaris Castle.
“Dialogue of Symbols” is an original jewelry collection in which symbols of Baltic culture are interpreted through the language of contemporary jewelry design. The collection brings together history, materiality, and a personal relationship with symbols. Each piece is born from a dialogue between tradition and the modern individual.
The exhibition is divided into four themes: Earth, Fire, Sky, and Memory. Each theme tells a different story about the human connection with nature, time, culture, and oneself.
During the event, the artist will present the story behind the collection, share insights into her creative journey, discuss the materials used, explain the meanings of the symbols, and reveal the behind-the-scenes process of jewelry making. Following the presentation, a creative jewelry workshop will be held, where participants will have the opportunity to learn the principles of jewelry design and create their own original piece of jewelry from brass or copper. This is an opportunity not only to observe the creative process but also to become a part of it.
The workshop is intended both for those trying a creative process for the first time and for anyone interested in jewelry making and handcrafted art.
Exhibition opening: July 6, 1:00 PM

Opening hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM–4:45 PM
