An exclusive communion action in Raudondvaris for the 70th anniversary of Kaunas District Municipality

25 March 2025, an exclusive action took place in the courtyard of Raudondvaris Manor to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Kaunas District Municipality.

“Let’s put a band of communion around Raudondvaris” –  a community-building event, during which the communities of educational institutions united to achieve “The longest drawing”.

By creating an active, responsible and focused community, this action aimed not only to consolidate creativity, but also to celebrate an important anniversary of Kaunas district. The initiative involved the Raudondvaris kindergarten “Vyturėlis”, the kindergarten “Riešutėlis”, the A. A. Kriauzai Primary School, the Raudondvaris Gymnasium and social partners. Together, they created a long ribbon of drawings, which became the main highlight of this event. During the campaign, the pupils created drawings on the theme “My beloved Raudondvaris”, using their chosen technique to express their creativity.

As Kaunas District Municipality celebrates its 70th anniversary, this initiative became a significant part of community mobilisation and creativity. The campaign not only brought educational institutions together, but also promoted communication and cooperation skills, strengthened the sense of unity and created a positive atmosphere.
The choice of Raudondvaris Manor as the venue underlines the historical significance of this initiative. The creative process promoted children’s citizenship, community and teamwork skills. Children had a chance to learn to respect each other’s creativity and work together towards a common goal – the exceptional achievement of Lithuania “The longest drawing”.
